Mexicans Offended by NOMA pop- up in Tulum.

The Mexican Government is critical of the “offensive menu” planned for the world famous pop-up. The menu is reportedly to consist of dried Yucatan wild boar droppings, coral reef tamales, Mayan Riviera beach plastic flotsam sandwiches and endangered Caribbean Sea Turtle poached in 200-meter depth cenote water.

Danish super Chef and Owner Rene Redzepi is red with rage and is threatening a boycott of Mexico by thousands of his devoted customers who were asked to pay $600 per person in advance for the chance to dine at the Tulum pop-up. In Mexican terms this is the equivalent of 12,000 pesos or 3 months of total income for an average Mexican family.
